The state-of-the-art cement manufacturing facility of Lanwa Sanstha Cement is a BOI venture spread across 63 acres
in the Mirijjawila Export Processing Zone, Hambantota.
The total capacity of the plant: 4 million metric tonnes per annum
The first phase capacity of the plant: 2.6 million metric tonnes per annum
The planned second phase capacity of the plant: 1.4 million metric tonnes per annum (After the successful
completion of the planned expansion)
The Facility Features
There are two bridge types of ship unloaders with 1600 tons per hour capacity for efficient, waste-free & sustainable cargo handling. Raw materials will be carried to the plant via a conveyor that is 2.4 kilometres long from HIPG to LSCC.
A fully automated stacker reclaimer yard with the capacity of storage of 100,000 MT and material can be reclaimed with the feeding rate of 550 tons per hour to feed hoppers.
The First Phrase Production
The plant has acquired mills from Gebr Pfeiffer of Germany and other cutting-edge technologies from Siemens. The possession of two VRMs with (180*2 - OPC) tons per hour will enable the Lanwa Sanstha Cement facility to produce 2.6 million metric tonnes per annum.
The plant obtained the technology process for packing from FLSmidth, the world-renowned cement plant solution provider. The plant also has a double discharge, four-line 180*2 tons per hour packer.
The plant boast three manual loadings, three truck loader units (capacity of one loader 50Kg bags- 1800/hour), and one Pelletizer unit (capacity of one loader 50Kg bags- 1800/hour), which altogether can pack 150,000 cement bags per day. Also, there are four bulk loading units with a capacity of 90*4 tons per hour.
The Lanwa Sanstha Cement (Pvt) Ltd.’s facility will produce the full range of cement products, including,
Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)
Portland Composite Cement (PPC)
Blended Hydraulic Cement (BHC)
